Ultimate Team in EA SPORTS FC 27 keeps its familiar core loop but reshapes the systems around it. The mode draws from more than 21,000 licensed players across over 800 clubs and national teams. The headline additions are the FUT Gallery, Holographic Player Items, Gallery Tokens, branching Evolutions Pathways and streamlined score-based Squad Building Challenge submissions. The mode launched with the game worldwide on 25 September 2026, with early access from 18 September 2026 for eligible editions.

FUT Gallery Rules That Decide Your Progress

The Gallery records Player Items that pass through your club even after they are gone; cards sold on the Transfer Market or submitted into an SBC still count, so recycling a squad never destroys collection progress.

Two eligibility rules matter most: Loan Items are never eligible, and Evolution Items are represented by the original base Item that entered the Evolution, not the upgraded version. An Evo therefore does not create a second Gallery record.

Gallery entries organize into themed Sets such as Nations, Leagues, Clubs and Campaigns. Completed Sets receive grades based on the score value of the Items placed in them, and higher-rated or special versions contribute more; a Set started with regular golds can be regraded later with Campaign Items, Heroes, ICONs or Holographic versions. Grading Sets earns cosmetics and Gallery Tokens, while Gallery Level milestones unlock larger rewards, including chances at distinctive Holographic Items. Exact reward tables per Gallery Level have not been fully published by EA; the in-game Gallery screens are the reference.

Holographic Items and Rarity in Practice

Holographic Player Items are rarer versions of eligible special Items with unique visual designs. The player and their in-match attributes remain identical to the standard version; the value is rarity, presentation and Set score, so a Holographic copy is a Gallery optimization, not a gameplay upgrade.

Base Item rarity was also flattened: Bronze, Silver and Gold Items are no longer split into Common and Rare sub-tiers, though individual Items within the same overall rating can still carry different pack odds. EA has not published exact pack odds figures for this; consult the in-game Pack Probability screen for each FUT Store Pack before spending, and treat third-party odds claims without that screen as unverified.

Streamlined SBCs and Branching Evolutions

Streamlined SBCs replace full-squad requirements with a target score. Each submitted Item contributes points based on its overall rating, rarity and Holographic status. You can submit duplicates, build partial progress across sessions, and mix many low-rated cards against a few high-rated ones, turning duplicate cleanup into a steady reward pipeline. An Item submitted into an SBC leaves your club permanently, exactly like a sale.

Evolutions Pathways give selected Evolutions branching upgrade choices, letting you steer a card toward the PlayStyles and attribute profile your squad needs instead of a fixed destination; preview every branch before committing. The Hall of FUT is the season's new Player Item class celebrating community favourites, with Adebayo Akinfenwa, Marouane Fellaini, Loïc Rémy, Eljero Elia and Giovani dos Santos as the inaugural inductees.

Squad Building Logic From the Official Ratings

Coin prices fluctuate daily and EA has not published exact market figures for this, so build around official rating profiles. The ratings reveal put Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland level at the top of the men's list with 91 OVR each, while Alexia Putellas heads the women's ratings with 91 OVR. Pitfalls and Troubleshooting

Loan cards never register. If a Gallery Set ignores a strong performance loan item, that is intended behavior, not a bug.
Evolutions do not double-log. An evolved card contributes only through its original base Item record.
SBC submissions are irreversible. Treat them like sales; the card is gone from your club.
Holographic is not hype. Attributes match the standard special; buy for Gallery score, not on-pitch advantage.
Pack odds are in-game only. Any site quoting numeric odds without the Pack Probability screen is guessing.
