Cutting Table
The central atelier station where fabric bolts are unfurled, paper patterns are arranged along the grain, and precision shears cut out structural dress components.
What Official Sources Confirm
The Cutting Table is the fundamental workstation in Dressmaker where yardage is prepared. Players lay down digital or paper pattern pieces over bolts of cloth. The grain line arrows (pointing horizontally) must be respected to prevent bias warping. The cutting table also features an integrated Recycle mechanic, allowing players to chop miscut pieces or scrap fabric back into reusable material.
Tactical Application
Always place your largest structural panels—such as full skirts and front bodices—first, then tuck smaller sleeves, collars, and cuffs into the negative spaces like a game of Tetris to minimize fabric waste.
